You can't win them all! Every week since I've started my weight loss journey I have lost weight until now. This morning I got on the scale and it read 293 which means I gained 1 pound since last week. When I seen the number it kinda knocked the wind out of me. Part of me realizes there will be weeks like this and the other part says this entire week was a waste of time. Not sure which voice is right yet but I know quitting is not an option. Looking back one last time at this week there really weren't a lot of things I would do differently. Through out the week I ate right and exercised just like I was supposed to with one exception.
One Blemish on the Week. Yesterday my wife and I were invited for dinner at our friends house. We haven't seen them in a couple months so we were looking forward to it. The only problem was the dinner they prepared for us. It was delicious it just wasn't a healthy option I would normally eat for dinner. We had lamb and a risotto and I made sure I had a small portion of each. For dessert was some type of rum cake. I had a slice about the size of a playing card. When we were done eating I didn't feel stuffed so I think a meal like that every once in a while is acceptable.
Going Forward Next Week. I'm going to change nothing. The week before this I was able to lose 4 pounds following the same guidelines so why would I change? I'm going to eat healthy and hit the gym 5-6 times. Lets see how it unfolds this week.
PS- After my first week of weight lifting my muscles are fried. Hopefully taking a day off today I'll be ready to hit the gym again tomorrow.
You are doing fine - gaining one pound is okay because it will likely come right back off as it could be water retention or some other unknown body adjustment!
ReplyDeleteJust keep on keeping on and it will keep coming off.
Thanks for the positive words. Hopefully I'll have good news to post next sunday!
