Tired And For Good Reason!

Is it early morning or late at nightI woke up at 4:15 in the morning and had a quick snack and got in my truck and headed to the gym.  Now anyone that workouts in the morning or who tries to workout in the morning knows that this is not the easiest thing to do. Waking up that early in December in a warm bed goes against everything my body would like to do which is stay put! When your driving down the road that early driving is a breeze because nobody is out there. That makes me think either I'm on to something or I'm crazy. I'll go with the first!

Time to get to work! When I got to the gym it was Chest, Shoulders and Triceps.  At the beginning of the month I posted that I was going to kick up the intensity. Before this week I was only doing one exercise per body part. This week I decided to add an additional exercise per body part. Here is what I did this morning:
  • Chest-Flat Bench Barbell Press (4 sets), Incline Dumbbell Press (4 sets)
  • Shoulders- Dumbbell Military Press (4 sets), Upright Rows (4 sets)
  • Triceps-Close Grip Bench Press (4 sets), Machine Press downs (4 sets)
  • Cardio-30 minutes on the treadmill
Time to hit the shower! By 6:30 I'm done and I head home for a shower, a protein shake, a Gatorade and a spoonful of creatine. I'm spent as I walk into work at 8 but a couple cups of coffee does the trick. It's exhausting but an awesome feeling because I can feel my metabolism running in a high gear all day. Hopefully this equals pounds lost when I jump on the scale!

PS- Tomorrow morning I'm going to do it all over again!
