2 Workouts In One Day!

2 is better than one right? This morning I got my lower body workout in same as usual. Then after that I went off to work same as I usually do. What happened after that though wasn't usual. I got bit by a motivational bug because after work instead of coming home and cooking dinner I decided to hit the gym for a second time today. I couldn't run because that would throw off my schedule and I couldn't lift weights because my entire body is still sore so I decided to get on a bike for an hour. It felt great knowing I got two workouts in today. Hoping that will make a difference when I jump on the scale on Sunday!

The outside world is starting to take notice. Out of the blue today two different people at work came up to me and asked if I was losing weight. The first time the person came from all the way across the office just to tell me they could see the difference. The second time someone stopped me in the hall and pointed out they could tell. I'm not a vein person but it does feel good that my progress can be seen by other people. Maybe that gave me the bump in motivation to go to the gym for the second time today???

Only 10 days until my next 5k! Only 10 more days of training until I get my first crack at running a 5k in under 30 mins in 2013. I've increased both my speed and time on the treadmill this month to try and accomplish this. It would be cool to cross of one of my goals I set for myself for 2013 so early.

Super 5k Novi

Still waiting to hear a compliment from someone who doesn't know that I'm trying.

  2. Joe, my favorite "second" exercise session of the day is usually also focused on building up a nice bit of sweat. I'll either do a few rounds with the jump rope, beating up on a heavy bag or simply run through a few bodyweight exercises to keep my muscles fired up.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Mitchell. I need to get on that jump rope. People at the gym seem to be burning a ton of calories jumping rope.
