I Lost 3 Pounds This Week!

I almost forget what it feels like.  Yesterday I jumped on the scale and it read 285.5 which means I lost 3 pounds this week! That means that I beat my Bold ass prediction last week when I said I will lose 2 plus pounds. This is a great feeling because I've been sitting at 288.5 for over a month. What I've learned this week is you cannot take any part of your weight loss plan for granted. I raised the bar on my exercise and diet program to finally get the weight loss ball rolling again. There are few things I did differently that I think made all the difference in the world. These are the changes I made:
  • Increased Cardio- I increased the time of two runs on the treadmill by 5 minutes.  Instead of doing 40 minutes I ran 45 minutes. I think that extra 5 minutes challenged my body and gave a little nudge to my metabolism.
  • Changed Bread- I started eating sprouted grain bread last week. This bread drastically cut my calories and carbohydrates while increasing my protein intake. It was a no brainer!
  • No Carbs in the Evening- I used to have a bake potato or a rice side dish with my dinner. I cut that out and instead increased my veggies for dinner. I felt less full all week long.
New Bold Ass Prediction!  I will be away this weekend to visit my niece/god daughter for her birthday. Usually I don't expect losing weight being out of town but not this time. This week I will lose 1 pound or more!
