Well this was unexpected! I jumped on the scale and it read 285 pounds which means I gained 2 pounds! I felt really good all week so I was surprised to see the gain. My wife seems to think I'm gaining muscle because of all the time I'm at the gym lifting weights. She says that she can see the difference. I like hearing those types of things but I don't think I gained 2 pounds of muscle in 1 week. I don't buy my vitamins at the same place Lance Armstrong does!
Kicking a habit this week. I was on a 2 sandwich a day habit that I think is hindering the results I'm looking for on the scale. Don't get me wrong they were some healthy sandwiches. I made them with healthy bread and lean lunch meat. I want to see what happens on the scale when I eat no bread through out the week. I've heard enough people in the blogosphere and in my life that have achieved a lot of weight loss success by cutting out carbs like bread. Its time I get on that train.
What was in my grocery cart today. Well without bread I needed to shop a little differently especially for what I take for lunch at work. Instead of sandwiches I bought twice as much chicken breast and veggies that I normally buy for the week. I'm gonna take 2 meals to work consisting of chicken breast and broccoli cauliflower every day. I just got back from grilling outside in the snow! I think I have about 3 days worth of chicken grilled up.
PS-I'm not down about the weight gain but at the same time I'm not going to put a positive spin on it either. I'm gonna keep making changes until the job gets done!
Sorry for the gain but super happy that you are not letting it get you down!!
ReplyDeleteI will not quit on my mission to lose this weight! If this doesn't work, I'll make another tweak until I get it! Thanks Diane!
