Adding On To My Workout Slowly!

I may have over done it! This week I upped my weight lifting at the gym and I am feeling it right now. Doing 4 sets of deadlifts on Tuesday and I'm limping around the office today. I've been working out for a few months now and this week is the first time my rear end hurts! Overall my entire body has felt brutally sore. So sore I actually took an unplanned day off from weight lifting today although I did manage to go for a run on the treadmill.

More Changes coming soon!  I wanted to add more things this week to my fitness regiment but the soreness I have right now tells me I need to slowly add on. I think every week I'm going to throw one extra thing into my program until I have all the elements I want. This week I added extra weight lifting and abs into my program and next week I want to begin a stretching routine. One of the reasons I'm doing this is because of the Tough Mudder Challenge I signed up for on June 30th. I have to be a well rounded athlete to do well.

Tomorrow morning I'll be back at it! 4:20 am my alarm clock will go off and I'll be at the gym when it opens at 5. My upper body has finally healed up from Monday's workout so that will be the focus tomorrow. Hopefully the weatherman is wrong about all the snow that is supposed to fall overnight!

PS-Sometimes it's little victories that make me feel the best. I took the last vitamin in the bottle of 100. That means I got another 100 days of healthy living under my belt!

  2. You're doing great with your physical activity. All I do is run. We had a cross-trainer speak to our clinic yesterday and I was sorely reminded that I have to add something more into my fitness regime. Cardio isn't enough, strength is equally important!
