Injuries And Other Random Thoughts

The list is growing.  Over the last month or so nagging injuries just won't seem to go away. Currently I have a pain in my left shoulder, my lower back and my left ankle. At first I thought they would all just go away and I could work though it but that's not the case. I'm trying to work around it to give my injuries time to heal. About the only thing I'm not ready to let up on is my running in regards to my ankle. I have been laying off calf raises though in hopes that will help.

Focusing On All The Wrong Things. I think sometimes people in the weight loss community focus on a lot of fluff and very little substance. Sometimes I'd really like to say "I don't give a shit about your new pair of compression socks!" What I'm more interested in is in the nuts and bolts of weight loss. Bottom tell me your results and what your doing not what you were wearing.

My partner has returned! My wife stopped going to the gym last month because of some medical issues. They are all worked out now so she is returning to the gym with me to restart her running program. Its always a 100 times easier to wake up at 4:30 in the morning when someone else is in it with you.

PS- Because of my ankle injury and Tough Mudder being a few months a way I've decided not to enter a 5k this month. This will be the first month I'll not be participating in one since October but I need a month to heal up. Tough Mudder is 117 days away!

  1. Please please listen to your body and be kind to it. I think you may be pushing yourself a little too much and your body is saying "give me a break". You are one tough and determined dude!
I love that your wife is returning!

  2. I was just telling my hubby recently that isn't it funny that for the first time in my life I have been active over the past year and a half. I am supposed to be feeling healthier and now I am starting to get sore knees, elbows and arms. We really do have to listen to what our bodies are telling us. I think I will have to change my exercise routine
